Erin Batton Bull Obituary, Cause Of Death – Family, friends, colleagues, and the Maryland healthcare community are mourning the loss of Erin Batton Bull, a devoted pediatric hospice nurse who passed away at the age of 44 following a courageous battle with Stage 4 breast cancer. Her death marks the loss of a compassionate caregiver whose life was dedicated to comforting children and supporting families through some of their most difficult moments.

Known for her extraordinary empathy and unwavering commitment to others, Erin leaves behind a legacy of kindness, resilience, and selfless service that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Born in 1982, Erin Batton Bull was raised in Jacksonville, Maryland, as the eldest of three children. After graduating from Dulaney High School, Pennsylvania State University, and Johns Hopkins University, she began a nursing career devoted to caring for children.

She first worked in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) in San Diego before returning to Maryland, where she became a respected pediatric hospice nurse. Throughout her career, Erin earned the admiration of colleagues and the gratitude of countless families through her compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to the children entrusted to her care.

Erin was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in 2024. Despite the challenges of her illness, she remained determined to pursue treatment while cherishing every moment with her family, especially her two young sons.

Speaking about her diagnosis, Erin expressed that her greatest wish was simply for more time with her children. Even while facing her own health challenges, she continued to inspire others with her optimism, grace, and gratitude, embracing each day with remarkable strength.

According to her family, Erin passed away on Sunday after her cancer progressed and she suffered a heart attack following an intensive chemotherapy treatment.

Those who knew Erin describe her as a woman whose kindness knew no bounds. Friends, family members, coworkers, and the families she cared for remember her as someone who always placed the needs of others before her own.

Her mother described her as “an angel on Earth,” while loved ones recalled her unwavering generosity, compassion, and the profound difference she made in countless lives.

Erin’s legacy extends far beyond her nursing career. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, beloved daughter, sister, friend, and healthcare professional whose compassion brought comfort and hope to so many.

Although Erin Batton Bull’s life was cut far too short, her impact will continue through the lives she touched, the families she supported, and the example of love, courage, and service she demonstrated every day.
